HOPE Farm and Bank of America have partnered to drive the HOPE Farm mission of guiding fatherless boys to become Christ-centered men of integrity. Since 1990 HOPE Farm has served fatherless boys ages 5-18 and their mothers or caretakers in the southside of Fort Worth, working to eradicate the cycle and effects of fatherlessness by cultivating at-risk boys into tomorrow’s leaders. For many years, Bank of America has worked with nonprofit partners, elected officials, business and civic leaders, and others across DFW to help drive economic opportunity and upward mobility.
Locally, Bank of America has announced its support of 36 DFW-area nonprofits, totaling more than $1.5 million in funding, helping to further their efforts to deliver essential and basic services to the most vulnerable, including education, essential healthcare, workforce and leadership development, homelessness prevention, and food insecurity.
Recently, Bank of America announced its newly-expanded $1.25 billion, five-year commitment to help advance racial equality and economic opportunity in our communities. This commitment supports investments that address racial justice, advocacy and equality for people and communities of color and further accelerates work already underway.
Through direct action and investment, Bank of America is focused on creating opportunity in the areas of health, jobs/training/reskilling/up-skilling, small business support and affordable housing, as these areas are where systemic, long-term gaps have existed and where significant change is required to achieve sustainable progress.
Since 2016, Bank of America’s 13,650 DFW-area teammates have reported more than 761,000 volunteer hours. With volunteer opportunities limited due to the current health crisis, charitable grants and fundraising efforts are critical to support the important work of our non-profit partners.
