FACT: 70% of Youths in State-Operated Institutions Come From Fatherless Homes
HOPE Farm’s programs focus on the pressing issues youth face today. The goal is two-fold: to offer positive alternatives to delinquent and gang-related activity and to plant seeds for enriched and empowered lives. HOPE Farm is accomplishing this by providing positive role models in a structured holistic program.
Our Leadership Development umbrella is inclusive of all other programs. The program helps boys become responsible citizens and prepares them to lead today’s society. It teaches boys, like Sean, accountability to HOPE Farm staff and their parents, how to properly greet another person, the benefits of truth and of giving full effort. The boys are given opportunities to make multiple contributions to the community through performances and volunteerism.
Self-control, responsibility, perseverance, respect for authority and promptness are a sampling of the virtues that are emphasized in our Character Building program. They are applied in academics, recreation, dining, choir rehearsal and household tasks. Character Building helps boys become responsible citizens and future leaders.
