HOPE Farm is proud to offer a two-day basketball clinic during spring break as part of a community outreach endeavor every year. For the low price of $10 a day (scholarships are available), boys up to eighth grade enjoy skills instruction, drills, and competitive play. The boys are divided into teams who work together during the clinic and compete together at the end. Instruction is led by former Oklahoma State player and current
HOPE Farm board member, Lo Andrews, who is an executive at Texas Capital Bank.
This year, two speakers visited and spoke to the boys about basketball and life during their lunch. These speakers were 11-year NBA star Morlon Wiley and current SMU forward Everett Ray. A total of 109 boys enjoyed the clinic and 75 volunteers made the two days run smoothly.
