Before COVID-19

A recap of some of the things you might have missed!

Before COVID-19JANUARY 21, 2020: HOPE Farm Dallas opens with 11 boys. At the start of Covid-19, the Dallas campus had 13 boys from 9 families that represented 8 different schools. HOPE Farm Dallas is led by longtime supporter and volunteer, Leon Potter.

Before COVID-19MARCH 3, 2020: HOPE Farm sponsors AN EVENING OF HOPE featuring speaker and author Steve Pemberton at Fort Worth’s beautiful Mopac Event Center. Mr. Pemberton, author of A Chance in the World, challenged the audience to become “lighthouses” in the lives of children so that all children would continue to have hope. In his challenge, Mr. Pemberton showed that we may never know the positive power of a word, a look, or a gesture directed toward a child and spoke about the lighthouses in his own childhood that certainly saved his life.

Before COVID-19MARCH 8 & 9, 2020: HOPE Farm’s annual Basketball Clinic led by Lo Andrews (HOPE Farm Board member and former Oklahoma State starting forward) was our last public event of the season. We had a full house of boys (K-8) and volunteers.
